Want to compete but not sure where to start?
Blackwater Ranch offers a beginner-friendly club membership designed to help riders confidently step into the world of competition. Our shows provide coaching through each event, using our horses and equipment—so you can get started without the commitment of owning a horse.

Competitors can participate in barrel racing, gymkhana, western equitation, horsemanship, ground manners, and fun games. Speed events are judged using a 4D format, while all other classes are evaluated by an outside judge.

At the end of each season, we come together to celebrate our members and recognize their achievements with end-of-season awards.
